Melissa Hammell is a Certified Integral Facilitator® and community connector with over 20 years of experience working with urban Indigenous communities. Melissa strives to balance her Anishinaabe and European mixed heritage, using her experiences to bring voices from different cultures together in a welcoming and respectful way. She has been involved in the creation of high school enrichment programs, cultural camps, social enterprises and major fundraising events.
Melissa is a Senior Associate with First Peoples Group, leading projects with a talented circle of Indigenous consultants who specialize in cultural awareness training, relationship building and reconciliation. She also partners with Jane Porter at Bridge Building Group to offer strategic planning retreats and other meaningful gatherings.
Melissa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from the University of Waterloo and an Integral Facilitation certificate from Ten Directions.
